I liked Warren with The Dead, Whitesnake vocals and all. It did get a little crowded on stage though.

I hear ya! A P&F tour would be nice, but a Dead tour would be even better. Hopefully they leave Warren at home. Here's hoping.

Warren was the only redeeming factor in the dead besides phil. It's over, the magic isnt back, and everyone needs to move on from it all. When Jerry left us he took with him a certain magic that this music seriously lacks, no matter who they put in the drivers seat, and thats another story.
When i saw the dead last summer, they had two of the hottest lead guitar players in the business onstage, and nobody took control of the music and ran with it, like jerry did. They just need to hang it up and go back to PAF & Ratdog. Let the Dead rest in peace.

Sorry for the rant.

Nice guy folks! Warren's voice is horrible. Maybe if he just played guitar it would not be so bad. I know it's my opinion but at least I'm not getting nasty about it. Peace and have a great day man. Remember it's all about what you like.

Hey - which of the two Phil & Friends - 2/12/05 - San Fransisco recordings is better? Has anybody compared them?

no more warren , is what he said in a recent interview.
warren stated he has too much goin on with mule and the abb this summer.
i think this is a good thing as warren and the dead sound = allman brothers sound.

Warren might sound good w/ the allman bros. but "The Dead" is a tribute to "The Grateful Dead" and I think they sound damn fine w/out him. Yeah, w/o jerry there is a void...but the dead wasn't just about jerry, it was about many musicians who could come together and make music that we all could dance to....and I know I still do!
